Amtan’s Principal Doctor, Dr Ameer, graduated from Calicut Medical College in India completing his post graduate studies in the United Kingdom.
He has worked in many specialities including Elderly Care, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Paediatrics & Gynaecology. Dr Ameer then moved to Emergency Medicine where he worked as a Specialist Registrar before moving to Family Medicine.
Dr Ameer is a member of Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He obtained his Diploma in Child Health and Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the UK.
With a special interest in Diabetes Management, Dr Ameer trained in diabetes and completed a Diploma in Diabetes from Cardiff University, UK.
Dr Ameer also has trained in Occupational Medicine from Monash University where he worked as a GP Trainer.
Dr Ameer, with his wife and fellow Principal Doctor, Dr Tanya Unni, founded Amtan Medical Centres in 2011 with the first of their 8 Medical Centres, Ormeau Family Practice.
