After qualifying as a GP in the UK more than 16 years ago, I worked in the UK national healthcare, Walk in Centres, Prisons, Out of Hours, and Private Practices which also included leading the clinical teams and integrating various healthcare specialities.
I was rewarded for best presentation awards and engaged in scientific publications and health education videos.
Facing my own health challenges since childhood, and having lost my loved ones , it was natural to understand patients’ perspectives and realise that the prescription-based practise alone cannot provide the effective healing one’s body and mind demands.
Australia gave me an opportunity to further my knowledge in Lifestyle, Nutritional, and Mind-body healthcare enriching the approach in conventional medicine whenever needed or requested, providing the best possible outcomes.
I believe in teamwork and involve other healthcare specialties in patients’ best interest.
I try not to preach what I don’t practice which means that I endeavour to eat healthy, exercise regularly, meditate, keep in touch with nature, sing, dance and help my family, friends, and the community whenever I can. And I call these my hobbies.
COVID-19 pandemic brought further challenges, to overcome personal and patients’ fears, and limitations posed by the Video and Phone consultations.
Every success in patient’s journey adds a milestone to my own progress, not only as a doctor but also as a person.
