Diabetes will cause the abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates and it will elevate the levels of glucose in the blood because of the body’s ability to produce or respond to the hormone insulin.
There are two types of diabetes:
Type 1 diabetes (Juvenile diabetes): In this condition, the pancreas will produce very little or no sugar. Mostly it will appear in adolescence.
Type 2 diabetes (Adult-onset diabetes): In this condition, it will affect the way the body processes blood sugar.
Other than these 2 conditions there are other conditions like prediabetes and gestational diabetes. You will overcome these conditions with a proper healthy and balanced diet, exercise, regular monitoring, medication, and insulin therapy.
Diabetes Educators will have knowledge and experience in diabetes prevention, prediabetes, diabetes management, and they can help people with all types of diabetes better manage their blood glucose. They will educate diabetes at eating a healthy and balanced diet, use plenty of physical activity, advise on blood glucose monitors, they will help you to reduce your risk for complications with diabetes. Diabetes Educators will help diabetes to find and access cost-savings programs and helps you in learning things to take in stride all the things in your day-to-day life that can help control the disease
The right time to find or book an appointment with diabetes educators is when you have complications or difficulty managing your diabetes and when you are willing to know about the latest research or treatment options to overcome the risk of diabetes.
