Cancellation policy – Amtan Medical Centres

We understand that unplanned issues can come up and you may need to cancel an appointment. If that happens, we respectfully ask for scheduled appointments to be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.

Amtan Medical Centres implemented this policy in order to provide the best service to our patients.  We need to be mindful of the time the Doctors and our Allied Health teams have set aside for your appointment.

Our team of Doctors and Allied Health want to be available for your needs and the needs of all our patients.

When a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment, another patient loses an opportunity to be seen that day as we haven’t been given appropriate time to offer this appointment to someone else.

There is a fee of $40 for appointments that are cancelled within 24 hours or if you do not attend your appointment.

This fee needs to be paid prior to booking your next appointment & is not claimable with Medicare or health funds.

This policy will enable us to open otherwise unused appointments to better serve the needs of all patients and manage the consulting lists for the clinics.
